These children are intelligent and funny, a joy to be around. They are deserving of the forever family of which they dream! They rely on each other and their relationship is a significant source of support.

Erick is a sweet and polite boy. He has an encompassing smile that fills a room with pleasantness and warmth. He is kind, thoughtful and intelligent. He is described by those who know him as a little gentleman. He is a loving, friendly, talkative, and creative boy. He gets along well with other children Erick loves school and does well academically. He is on the school basketball team as well as the football team. He has pride in these teams as they are performing very well and win many games. He is also part of the school chess team. He has been in school tournaments and has earned first place. These varied interests contribute to an accomplished, charming and reflective boy. Erick is competitive and this gives him drive to work and play hard. Erick flourishes with praise and being made to feel special. He listens to guidance and instruction and uses coping tools to manage situations. He is a loving child who needs a lot of individual attention and unconditional love. Erick needs the stability of a forever home where there is a lot of focus on him and he has his own important place in the family. He will need someone who can participate proactively in his education and make sure he has all the help he needs to stay on track academically and feel his own success.

Kamilayah, also known as KK, has a tiny, whispery voice, but possesses a huge, funny, imaginative and engaging spirit. She is simply sunshine and sparkles with little rays of cheerful personality shooting outward. Kamilayah does not ask much from her future forever family other than she hopes they are nice. She likes to do a lot of things and would like a family who wants to do those things too. She likes cheerleading and ballet and all the finery that goes with those activities. She is a huge fan of bows and wears them in her hair daily. She does very well academically in school and is very proud of making the school honor roll. She wants to be a doctor or veterinarian when she grow up. She delightfully wants to be the character Mowena in her favorite cartoon. Mowena has a pig and she feels this would be a great addition to her own life. On a side note she would also like a baby monkey. Kamilayah is very involved with the school dance team and was invited to perform for the high school. She reports that her brother taught her how to play chess and now she can beat people at it. She adores her brother Erick and seeks to emulate him.

Erick and Kamilayah have a teasing relationship with each other. She feels secure when he is near. He is in turn protective of her. The children will need someone who can give them one on one time and attention. They are closely bonded to each other as their relationship has been the single reliable, stable area of consistency in their lives. But they need the bond of a forever family. They need to be in a home that accepts them both.
